Hi, my name is Megan & I own Modern Magnolia Co. I'm married to my amazing husband who I have two dogs with. We live in the middle of nowhere Illinois on our own little slice of paradise.

Growing up I've always wanted to start my own boutique. Once I graduated college and worked my first full time job in the real world for 2 years, I realized what I truly wanted, which was to create my own business & work for myself. So that's what I did.

Where'd the name come from you ask? Maybe you didn't ask but I'm going to tell you anyway. Magnolias have ALWAYS been my favorite flower. They were the main flower in my wedding. They're beautiful & simple. So I knew I wanted to incorporate them into my business name. Then, honestly, I just thought Modern Magnolia Co. sounded cool so I went with it.

I started out by running this business full time in my home. I hand printed each tee & sweatshirt myself. I now own a retail location in Dixon, Illinois that I opened in January of 2023. Since opening my store front I have expanded my inventory to include comfy, casual lounge & active wear.
